If there’s one show I would do something insanely embarrassing to be on right now it’s CW’s Reign. Not only am I in love with the King of France (aka Toby Regbo, he is soo gorgey with his curls and dreamy eyes), but the costumes are literally to die for! I have much love for a good period piece but this one seriously takes the cake fashion wise.

The designer dresses are clearly a bit out of reach for most of us, with brands such as Alexander McQueen, Dolce & Gabbana and Oscar de La Renta being used, but a lot of the pieces on the show are actually achievable purchases. The costume designer Meredith Markworth-Pollack literally shopped on Free People and Net-a-Porter for clothes to redesign into 16th century attire.

I particularly love Kennas clothes (Caitlin Stacey). She’s pictured above in the green dress and fur trim cardigan. Her wardrobe scores high points with plenty of bohemian style headpieces, lace, embroidery and necklaces. While still being applicable to the time period of the show, she has donned many an outfit that I would wear in this day and age.

So fear not if youve always wanted to dress like foreign royalty. There’s a few sites around to give you a helping hand.

Aside from the costumes the show is actually really great, in a teenage romance kind of way. Do you have any guilty TV show obsessions?
