Here are the photos from my Blue Mountains trip, as promised a very long time ago (woops!)

It was a wonderful weekend, tucked away in the backyard cabin of the lovely Jan.

Angie and I navigated the country-paced local train network, exploring all the famous region has to offer, from the quirky town of Leura to the spectacular National Pass walk (definitely worth the second day sore legs!)

Winter in the mountains was a very different (and welcome) experience to the stifling city cold of Melbourne. I returned home feeling rejuvenated, happy, and probably a few kilos lighter- having spent all my money on flights and train fares, I lived off miso soup and bananas, interesting fuel for all day bush walks…

It was a beautiful, much-needed trip that I would highly recommend to all! Sydney-siders, please tell me you make the most of your natural paradise of a neighbour!!
